- Pick up your whole stack of notes.
- Read the first note and ask, AN EXAMPLE?
- For most notes you will not have an example.
- However, when you do have an example, draw a large X next to AN EXAMPLE, and start a stack of EXAMPLE notes marked with an X.
- Now continue reading, questioning, and marking the rest of your notes.
- After questioning all of your notes to find EXAMPLES, choose 2-4 EXAMPLES to write into your report.
- At this time write these chosen examples on the back of each chosen card, along the top edge.
- Then circle the word EXAMPLE.
- Later, when you write your report, the circled EXAMPLE will remind you to turn your card over and to write your EXAMPLE into your report.
