  1. Spread your TOPIC I note cards so you can read each note.
  2. Choose your first note.
  3. Write a 1 in the circle.
  4. Arrange all your TOPIC I notes; then number them in the circles.
  5. Write the last note number on your Topic Outline, FORM 5 in the TOPIC I bubble.
  6. Turn your TOPIC I stack faced down.
  7. In your TOPIC II bubble write the next note number.
  8. Arrange your TOPIC II notes.
  9. Continue numbering them.
  10. On your Topic Outline, FORM 5, in the bubbles for TOPICS II and III, write the last TOPIC II and the first TOPIC III numbers.
  11. Turn your TOPIC II note stack faced down and criss-cross it over your TOPIC I note stack.
  12. Arrange your TOPIC III notes.
  13. Number them.
  14. Write the first and last numbers in the TOPIC III bubble on your Topic Outline, FORM 5.
  15. Turn this stack faced down and criss-cross it over your TOPIC II notes.
  16. Repeat if you have notes for Topics IV, V, and VI.
