- We think of LIKE/UNLIKE COMPARISONS to our noted ideas.
 - Again we read and question each note.
 - This time we ask, “Like or unlike what?”
 - We think of what we know about other subjects, and we compare them to the subject we are researching.
 - Often, we will think of no comparison, so we simply question the the next notes.
 - When we do think of a like or a different comparison, we mark a large X after the LIKE/UNLIKE question.
 - Again, we stack all the cards that have an X.
 - This will help us when we choose likenesses/differences to include in our papers.
 - Our likenesses / differences:  • must make sense    • must be true    • must not be silly.
